What to Bring
  • If there is anything you need for fishing it's already on board

Fishing Trips
  • Sunscreen, Sunglasses
  • Rain gear if it's raining- be prepared and don't get caught standing in the rain
  • Hat, Clean T-Shirt, Jacket & Gloves
  • Camera, Film & Batteries - Get it all on film!
  • 1 Rod & Reel (..bring your own if you wish (please only one rod), ) - Greg recommends spinning or baitcasting outfits in the 10 to 20 lb class for Fluke, and conventional reels in the 30 to 50 pound class for offshore.
  • Terminal Tackle( supplied on the boat) - Striper Rigs, many rigs available on board or at Grizz's Forked River Bait & Tackle
What NOT to Bring
  • NO Illegal Drugs - we have a ZERO tolerance and enforce maritime law for the possesion or use of illicit drugs
  • NO Hard Liquor or Drunkeness - Cans of Beer OK, must be 21 or over
  • NO Excessive Amounts of Beer - A couple is just fine

Striper fishing on the Something Fishy uses many methods to catch fish, depending upon the conditions. Captain Greg knows where to go and what method works best from day to day. Experience bunker spoon and umbrella rig trolling, jigging and plugging, and chunking. When available Greg catches his own live bunker and fishes in well known productive areas like LBI beaches, BB & BI buoys, the Sedge Banks and some of his secret haunts.
