    Live Lining Bunker

    " Bunker Dunkin "Sal's Specialty" "

Captain Sal goes the extra distance to cast net his own live moss bunker. He knows where to find the schools, right near the marina. With a number of support vessels and a 20 foot cast net, watch Captain Sal as he throws the net and captures live bunker for his customers. This indigenous bait is part of the reason Captain Sal has been so successful catching the big stripers.

Come as you are, and leave with a great experience and a bag of fillets
    Chunking for Bass

" Fresh Bunker is the Secret "

Sometimes the schools are not around, Captain Sal comes prepared with fresh bunker for chunking. He'll show you how to cut and rig the bait for the best results. Sometimes, depending upon the tide, chunking is preferred over live lining, and with the freshest bait available, sometimes monster fluke will take the chunks as well, or maybe some chopper blues. Either way you can depend upon Captain Sal to put you on the fish.

We have fresh bunker usually available for sale at our dock.
    Jigging & Trolling

    " Shad Umbrellas, Bunker Spoons and Stretch 25's & 30's "

With the complex network of channels and cross channels in the Raritan Bay, Staten Island and the Arthur Kill, the deep drop-offs and mussell beds hold plenty of bait and gamefish. When the reports have been in this area, Captain Sal will rig up for casting and trolling, as he reads fish on the scope. Be prepared for a mixed bag of Stripers, Weakfish and Blues as the Cathy Sea serves up the best in New Jersey fishing.

Trolling gear provided on the boat
Back Bay Weakfish on Live Peanut Bunker

" When the Weakfish Bite is on... Captain Sal fishes for them "

By following the latest fishing reports as part of his days work, Captain Sal targets weakfish in the back Raritan Bay & River. Using live peanut bunker or a variety of plastics, plugs and bucktails, and of course light tackle, get ready for some great action from these hard fighting and delicate gamefish.

When the weaks are biting the fluke are usually there too.
    Drifting for Fluke

    " NJ's most popular summertime fishery "

Fluke fishing is fun for the entire family! These tasty fish frequent the back bay in large numbers. Captain Sal knows where they can be found, from years of experience studying the structure on the bottom. "Honey Pots" are small holes dredged up by commercial clammers, this activity and structure has a tendency to hold schools of Fluke ranging from a pound to 10 pounds. Let Captain Sal show you where to find them, and help you and your party get your bag limit of keepers.

Live Killies, Squid, Spearing and Sandeels aboard the boat
    8 hour Blackfish Trips

" Sandy Hook Reef, 17 Fathoms and Area Wrecks "

Blackfish are the main quarry when you charter the Cathy Sea for bottom fishing. The special 8 hour charter takes you accross the bay and out into the Atlantic, where Captain Sal anchors up. Blackfish, Sea Bass, Ling and Porgies abound, with non-stop action.

Green Crabs, Fiddlers, Clams and Squid for bait.
